We welcome you to the live performance & installation of Hord Songs on Sunday 30th June 2-5pm @ The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Stoke-on-Trent.
We hope you can join us for a live performance installation set against the glittering backdrop of the Staffordshire Hoard collection at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery on Sunday 30th June between 2-5pm. Performances will last approximatelnvity 25 minutes and visitors are invited to wander in and out. The exhibition continues until Sunday 1st September.Hord Songs is created by composer Stef Conner and visual artist Helen Stead this performance installation combines images of the Staffordshire landscape with new sonorities drawn from ancient English poetry, set against the golden backdrop of the Staffordshire Hoard. With Graham Bier, Lizzie Marshall (voices) and Jon Hughes (live sound) in response to Staffordshire Hoard and Saxon Pilgrimage.
Commissioned as part of the Factory Nights 2011-12 programme. Limited edition CDs with printed artwork covers by Conner and Stead will be available for purchase in the Museum shop.
